  Chen's Chinese Restaurant makes everything from scratch. All of the food comes out super fast, even when they're busy.
  Chen's Special Noodles are a must-try at the restaurant! (It's a soup!)
  It's also a good place for vegetarians.

  Wowza!  Glad I read the review that said don't let the outside scare you away ... yummy!  The egg drop soup to start hit the spot while I figured out what to order.
  
  The portions are HUGE.  The Kung pao chicken is good (I added their home made chili sauce).  The waitress was right that you need to like cooked zucchini because there is quite a bit.  Great flavor, prompt and friendly service!

  I like Chens quite a bit for the most part. Always fresh, hot, big portions, and more flavorfull than any of the other chinese in hermiston. Best hot and sour soup and traditional favs are a step bove average. 1 star omitted for late eve. When i usually am grabbing to go, sometimes the sweet+sour pork and chicken are half fresh, and half either cooked way earlier and flash fried for heat(super dry), orbeen under heat lamps to the same effect. So i guess order earlier and you'll be good to go. Nice staff if you're cool with them.

  Food was great!!! The service was absolutely horrible, family member ordered cups of water and found bug inside, waiter if you can Call her response was: u don't like extra protein?..... is that really how u handle a bug inside a water cup in a restaurant????? The food was awesome like I said everything was complete trash!!!!

  If I could give this experience zero stars I would. The waitress we had was horrible. She was rude and was walking around talking on her personal cellphone. We ordered an appetizer of bbq pork and about 5minutes after we placed our order she came out said that we weren't getting our bbq pork because they ran out. I asked her not to put it on our tab then and she said "well are you going to replace it"? I explained to the waitress that I didn't want to replace it and she stomped off. Then our food came....the crab puffs tasted like the Oil they were fried in hadn't been changed in two weeks... We got an order of sweet-and-sour chicken and the chicken was hard and crunchy like it had been sitting under a warming lamp for two hours. We ordered a cup of egg flower soup and got a big bowl of it. The waitress never checked back to see if we needed refills, she just kept pacing the restaurant saying that the cabs weren't running today and that she needed to run her father the four miles home before she didn't have a ride home. When she finally came to check to see if we needed boxes and I said no and stated why I didn't want boxes she replied with "uh okay" and then walked away. The wonderful lady who was clearing the tables apologized and didn't charge me the $.50 to run my card, due to our experience and she said that it was the least that she could do for me.
